چکیده
Vascular disease Vascular disease has played an increasingly important role in the field of amputa t ion . Atherosclerosis is widespread in Nor the rn Europe , N o r t h America and elsewhere in the world and several publications (Hansson, 1965 and Robinson, 1976) demonstrate that over 80 per cent of pr imary amputa t ions are now performed on patients with vascular disease and this despite a number of significant advances in vascular surgery. Our experience in the Tayside area of Scotland with a very stable populat ion, indicates a figure of 86 per cent (Murdoch et al, 1977).

Reconstruction of a transmetatarsal amputation stump using a salvaged peroneal artery fasciocutaneous flap from the opposite leg: A case report.
